According to Kia Motors, the name "Kia" derives from the Sino-Korean characters ki ("to come out") and a (which stands for (East) Asia), it is roughly translated as "to come out of the east."
Once considered a cheaper manufacturer Kia now produce high quality cars that provide the driver with innovative design at affordable prices. Kia also places a 7-year warranty on all of their models, demonstrating their belief in the quality of their vehicles.
Kia has a large range of commercially successful models and a reputation for cars that last, as well as being one of the key manufacturers who have driven the rise in popularity of the SUV.
We have a great selection of Kia cars available at affordable rates for business or personal lease. Kia’s range of quality vehicles includes the ever popular Sportage, which compares very favourably with European rivals or the stylish and Niro Hybrid models or the impressive Sorento station wagon proving to be one of the most popular leasing options.
The Sportage has long been Kia’s best-selling car by a considerable margin, but 2018 saw for the first time a Kia appear in the top 10 UK new car sales chart, a testament to how far the manufacturer has come.

Kia was founded in 1944, manufacturing steel tubing and bicycle parts, eventually producing Korea's first bicycle in 1951. In 1973 Kia opened its first automotive assembly plant. Starting in 1986 in partnership with Ford, Kia produced several Mazda-derived vehicles for both domestic sales in South Korea and for export into other countries. Since 2005, Kia has focused on the European market and has identified design as its "core future growth engine" leading to the hiring of Peter Schreyer in 2006 as chief design officer and his subsequent creation of a new corporate grille commonly known as the 'Tiger Nose'.
